Welcome to Central FFA website. We are an agricultural science program located in Raymond, NE. Our chapter has 53 active AET student accounts and 2 teachers.

Our students are developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Please take a look around our site to see what's going on at Central FFA.

Students help make hot chocolate in the concessions. We made $1,100 in the concessions this year. Students also help park cars, organize equipment and run bids for the auction.

We always enter a parade float in the Saunders County Fair and this year our motto was Top of the Crop.
Our chapter hosts a breakfast on the Saturday of National FFA Week for our alumni chapter. This was our second annual breakfast in Valparaiso and we had a turn out of 75 alumni or community members. Our chapter had 20 members help with the set up, serving and clean up of the breakfast.
Central FFA member, Gabby Soden, showed her goats during the state fair held in Grand Island. Other members who showed animals included Duke Nelson, Taylor Nelson, and Kale Strizek. Kale also entered three exhibits, white corn stalk, popcorn stalk, and white corn ears which all received Grand Champion.
At the petting zoo one of our members brought their dog that the elementary students loved to pet and play with. Throughout the day we also had over one hundred kids come in and go through the petting zoo then also plant seeds in the classroom.
Many of our members gathered at Branched Oak Lake for our annual summer meeting. Mr. Carriker grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and members played volleyball and swam in the lake. Everyone who attended had a great time!
Once all the fruit was delivered members sorted through all the boxes of the fruit. Our mixed boxes contain apples, oranges, pears, and grapefruit.
The district champion Jr. Parliamentary Procedure team included members (from left to right): Taylor Nelson, Amber Heyen, Duke Nelson, Miranda Hornung, Hailey Hula, Holly Komenda, and Kale Strizek. The team qualified for the state competition in April 2016. The scores were formulated from the demonstration evaluation and the test scores. The Sr. Parliamentary Procedure team placed second and qualified for state, as did Jr. Public Speaking contestant, Miranda Hornung. The Jr. High Ag Quiz Bowl team placed first and qualified for the state contest.

The Central FFA land judging team, Duke Nelson, Nick Nelson, Josh Hornung, and Hannah Settje, traveled to Oklahoma for the National competition. While there, the group visited the National Western Heritage Museum and competed in the all day event.

All of the first year members attended District Leadership Day where they get to learn about the opportunities within FFA.
After our May meeting our chapter played in a heated game of dodgeball. We try to always do an activity after the meetings in order to make the meetings a little more fun for our chapter. It is also a great boding time for our chapter members.
